access denied?

access denied?

in the run utility im typing msconfig to disable some programs and services and when im disable something or enable and the click apply its keep telling me an access denied error was returned while attempting services.you may need to log on using an administrator account to make the spcified changes.
and i have only one account in my laptop and its administrator account.
so whats the problem

Do you by any chance have a Hewlett Packard printer installed? I've discovered that software supplied can be a problem, interfering with administrator user accounts.

It's also possible that your user account has been corrupted. You could fix that by starting in Safe Mode and using the default Admin account. Once logged in with that, create a new administator account, then restart as normal but log in with the newly created account.

If all is well, delete your original user account.
