The Show Desktop shortcut by default is installed to the quick launch bar. It is a handy shortcut to use especially when you have tons of windows open and you need to get to your desktop. What if you deleted it? Recreating the shortcut using the Shortcut wizard seems like the way to go, but alas it does not work. Here is a simple method to recreate the Show Desktop shortcut.

For additional security, enable the Control+Alt+Delete login screen for XP. Using this is far more secure than the traditional XP login screen due to the fact that no program can intercept CTRL+ALT+DEL. Thus you are protecting yourself from a application (a bad application, could be spyware or a virus) from learning your machine password.

The main Administrator account is a hidden user account that is installed with Windows XP. If you have ever booted into safe mode you have seen this user Account (the username is simply “Administrator"). Well if you have forgotten the password (and your username is classified as an administrator) you can reset the password.

Windows XP Theme lovers can rejoice. Microsoft has finally released a new theme for Windows XP called Zune. This theme is quite good.
